Happy New Year to everyone.
It's been a few months since my last blog, I won't bore you with everything so here's a brief outline since October of whats been happening.
At the fininsh line of the Cardiff half, I staggered around, I looked for Amanda we found and looked at each other. Exhausted, tired, nothing left in the tank we both agreed there was no way we could run a full Marathon!
One week after Cardiff, and as the pain subsided, and my legs started to feel normal again, the mind started to think that maybe I could run 26.2 miles.
After the new year, the calendar came out and I started to plan 2012, as I marked the different events that I wanted to do, it became apparenet to me that 2012 is a year of first for me.
In addition to entrering Chester Marathon, I've also joined Celtic Tri , and plan to take part in Triathlons & Duathlons throughout 2012.
My personal goals for 2012 are:-
24th March: Mumbles Duathlons
5k Run – 32k Bike – 5k Run
1st April: Forest of Dean - Trails Half Marathon
13.1 Miles
10th June: The Wiggle Dragon Ride Wales
125km which includes infamous hills in South Wales
17th June: Llanelli 10k
19th August: Blenheim Palace Cycle Sportive
100 mile Sportive
September: Glynneath Triathlon
Sprint Distance
23th September: Swansea 10k
7th October Chester Marathon
26.2 miles
